Melissa Jade is a Deaf graduate and Masters in Stained Glass artist who grew up and lives in Gower, the UK’s first designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Her work is inspired by this stunning location, a cherished area. Glass pieces are imbued with a sensory feel of the coastal landscape and it’s natural beauty. As a Deaf Artist, it is important that there is a strong, visual element in Melissa’s work, so that the audience can not only see, but feel on a deeper level and examine the colours and detail within the layers. This traditional but modern work has a strong environmental emphasis derived from observation of the landscape or architecture that we find embedded within a particular area.

Previous exhibitions include Bevere Gallery, Mint Gallery in London plus private Commissions successfully completed.
